The (high?) price of fresh food: Help us document it

Fresh vegetables at a farmer's market in Los Angeles

In November, we sent 15 University of Southern California students out to Vernon Central with a short assignment: find the price of a pound of bananas, a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread.

They took pictures, notes and shared them with us.

We found some good results and some bad. But before we say anything about the cost and availability of fresh food in Vernon Central, we'd like your help.

Your Assignment
1) Go to your local market and document the cost of these three items.
2) Take a picture if you can.
3) Go to this site and add in your results.

It's simple and will help us in continuing to report on the accessibility of food in Vernon Central.
