Suspect dies in custody, investigation ongoing

LAPD Patrol officers used a bean bag shotgun and a taser - less lethal devices - to subdue a suspect early morning on March 14 on Avalon Boulevard. The suspect, 36-year-old Christopher Davis, died an hour later, spurring an ongoing investigation by the LAPD's Force Investigation Division.
